General description
The stirred reactor is ideal for the widest possible range of mixing processes in laboratories, such as mixing liquids or dissolving solids. The whole assembly is autoclavable, so that it can be used in biological applications, for simple fermentation processes.
- Drive using standard magnetic stirrers
- Variable stirrer shaft, can be used for 500 mL and 1,000 mL Duran® GL 45 laboratory bottles
- Can be used up to 500 rpm
- Compatible with the Duran® connection systems; hoses with bores from 1.6 mm to 6.0 mm can be fitted
Features and Benefits
• Manufactured from chemically resistant materials: PP, PTFE, PEEK, and stainless steel• Use with standard magnetic stirrers up to 500 rpm and allows a significantly improved mixing performance compared to magnetic stir bars• The adjustable stirrer shaft can be moved to the optimal position in either 500 or 1000 ml DURAN® GL 45 bottles• Flexible: Use with the DURAN® GL 45 / GL 14 tubing connection components to connect 1.6, 3.0, 3.2, or 6.0 mm outer diameter semi-rigid tubing for the addition or removal of liquids or gas• Autoclavable• Not suitable for use with overhead lab stirrers
