Features and Benefits

Biotin-dPEG®3-benzophenone combines biotin with a 16.9 Å hydrophilic spacer and a highly photoreactive group to permit biotin labeling of molecules that do not have an easily useable functionality (for example, polymers). In one of the most efficient photoreactive conjugation mechanisms available today, benzophenone is activated by 365 nm UV light to a highly reactive triplet state ketone that inserts covalently into CH and NH structures. This is a unique product that is highly useful for certain types of molecules that customers may want to biotinylate.
