General description

1,1,3,3-Tetramethoxypropane undergoes acid hydrolysis to yield malondialdehyde[1].

Application

1,1,3,3-Tetramethoxypropane was used in preparing malondialdehyde standards during malondialdehyde assay on lung homogenates[2]. It was used to study the effect of Salvianolic acid A on the migration and proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells[3].
