Información sobre el gen

Descripción general

VEGF165 (vascular endothelial growth factor 165), also known as VEGF-A, is a homodimeric glycoprotein and is expressed as multiple splice variants. Recombinant rat VEGF is a double, non-glycosylated, polypeptide containing 164 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 38.4kDa.

Aplicación

VEGF165 (vascular endothelial growth factor 165) has been used to study the effects of VEGF on the morphology and survival of neurons and glial cells.

Acciones bioquímicas o fisiológicas

VEGF165 (vascular endothelial growth factor 165) has been shown to have pro-angiogenic properties. It has a role in the proliferation of endothelial cells and neuroprotection.

Forma física

Lyophilized from a sterile (0.2 micron) filtered aqueous solution containing 10 mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.5

Reconstitución

Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. The solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers.
