General description

The MB ELISA kit provides for the Quantitative measurement of Myoglobin in Cell Culture Supernatants, Plasma and Serum.

Application

For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)

Biochem/physiol Actions

Myoglobin is a hemoprotein that regulates the storage and diffusion of oxygen in heart and skeletal muscles. It also protects the tissues from oxidative damage by controlling the levels of reactive oxygen species and nitric oxide. Myoglobin modulates nitric oxide and oxygen levels in the mitochondrial compartments of skeletal muscle and cardiac cells.

Los componentes del kit también están disponibles por separado

This study aims to evaluate the expression of plasma miR-18, thereby evaluating its potential use as a biomarker to screen acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients from healthy controls. Real time PCR was carried out to evaluate the level of miR-18

The study aimed to determine whether combining cryostimulation with resistance training would effectively increase muscle strength, and if so, whether this adaptation would be related to changes in circulating levels of exerkines (i.e., mediators of systemic adaptation to exercise). Twenty-five

Hypercholesterolemia is a metabolic disorder associated with oxidative stress. The present study investigated the protective effect of Monolluma quadrangula extract on hypercholesterolemia-induced oxidative stress in the liver and heart of high-cholesterol-diet- (HCD-) fed rats. The experimental animals received HCD for

Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress-induced apoptosis is a major cause of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury. Emerging evidence indicates that glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) has potential cardioprotective effects. However, the precise mechanisms underlying the involvement of GLP-1 in I/R injury remain largely unknown.
