Descripción general

La 2,4-dinitrofenilhidracina (DNPH), un derivado de la hidracina, es un posible mutágeno. Se ha analizado su estructura molecular y cristalina.[1] Los enlaces de hidrógeno intramoleculares e intermoleculares en la DNPH han sido investigados mediante análisis espectroscópico vibracional.[2] El mecanismo de degradación isotérmica de la DPHN ha sido estudiado por calorimetría diferencial de barrido (DSC).[3]

Aplicación

La 2,4-dinitrofenilhidracina se ha utilizado como reactivo para detectar la presencia de aldehídos y cetonas en los carbonilos proteicos.[4][5][6] Puede utilizar como reactivo colorimétrico en la estimación cuantitativa de la prednisona.[7]

Envase

500 g contiene un peso total del producto húmedo de ~485 g. La diferencia se debe a la adición de agua para cumplir con los requisitos del DOT.

    1. Products may be shipped at a different temperature than the recommended long-term storage temperature. If the product quality is sensitive to short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped on wet or dry-ice. If the product quality is NOT affected by short-term exposure to conditions other than the recommended long-term storage, it will be shipped at ambient temperature. As shipping routes are configured for minimum transit times, shipping at ambient temperature helps control shipping costs for our customers.     1. If this product has an expiration or retest date, it will be shown on the Certificate of Analysis (COA, CofA). If there is no retest or expiration date listed on the product's COA, we do not have suitable stability data to determine a shelf life. For these products, the only date on the COA will be the release date; a retest, expiration, or use-by-date will not be displayed.
      For all products, we recommend handling per defined conditions as printed in our product literature and website product descriptions. We recommend that products should be routinely inspected by customers to ensure they perform as expected.
      For products without retest or expiration dates, our standard warranty of 1 year from the date of shipment is applicable.

  3. Before use, is it necessary to dry off the water content in this reagent? If so, what would be the temperature and how long without triggering degradation of the reagent?

    1. This product is intentionally provided as a moist powder, with at least 33% water by weight. The material may be safely handled in the moistened state, but not as a dry powder. The recommendation would be to NOT dry off the water content.
