For further information and support please go to the website of the issuing Pharmacopoeia.Calcifediol is a biologically active metabolite of vitamin D. It is more hydrophilic and better absorbed in the intestine when compared to ergocalciferol or cholecalciferol due to the high affinity for the vitamin-D-binding protein. The drug is known to treat diseases associated with decreased intestinal absorption and obesity.

Application

Calcifediol EP Reference standard, intended for use in laboratory tests only as specifically prescribed in the European Pharmacopoeia.
