General description

Prices include Federal Tax.
The product is a non-denatured 190proof ethanol. Ethanol, a primary alcohol, is an important raw material for the synthesis of various compounds. It can be synthesized either from molasses by fermentation or by hydration of ethylene. It acts as a hydrogen source and reaction medium during the transfer hydrogenation of carbonyl compounds in the presence of sodium hydroxide. The impact of ethanol/water fumigation on the performance of diesel engines has been studied.
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. Ethanol is environmentally preferable green solvent and thus it aligns with "Safer Solvents and Auxiliaries" and "Use of Renewable Feedstocks".

Application

  • Improved isoprene detection performance of Si-doped WO(3) films deposited by sputtering and post-annealing: Highlights the application of pure ethyl alcohol as a solvent in the deposition process for sensors, enhancing isoprene detection capabilities, vital for environmental monitoring and industrial safety (Lin et al., 2024).

  • An efficient method for the preparative isolation and purification of alkaloids from Gelsemium by using high speed counter-current chromatography and preparative HPLC: Demonstrates the use of pure ethyl alcohol in high-performance liquid chromatography, critical for the extraction and purification of bioactive compounds in pharmaceutical research (Liang et al., 2024).

  • Aging processes in dental thermoplastics - Thermoanalytical investigations and effects on Vickers as well as Martens hardness: Utilizes pure ethyl alcohol in the processing of dental materials to assess their durability and physical properties, emphasizing its role in material science and dentistry (Kreitczick et al., 2024).

  • Functionalization of bamboo fibers with lawsone dye (Lawsonia inermis) to produce bioinspired hybrid color composite with antibacterial activity: Features the application of pure ethyl alcohol in the treatment of bamboo fibers, contributing to the development of functional materials with enhanced properties (Szadkowski et al., 2024).

  • Facile synthesis of Ag lattice doped mesoporous In(2)O(3) nanocubes for high performance ethanol sensing: Uses pure ethyl alcohol in the synthesis process of nanocubes for enhanced ethanol sensing capabilities, pivotal for developing sensitive and efficient sensors (Liu et al., 2024).
