General description

Saflufenacil is a new pyrimidinedione herbicide registered for the preplant burndown and preemergence use in various agronomic crops.

Application

Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
Saflufenacil may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in:
  • Crop plants by QuEChERS (quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged and safe) extraction and ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-ESI-MS/MS) with selected reaction monitoring (SRM) detection.
  • Maize grain and plant samples by modified QuEChERS extraction and LC-MS/MS.
  • Soil samples by modified QuEChERS extraction and UPLC-MS/MS.

Saflufenacil when applied to a field is susceptible to transport, degradation, and transformation. We used a laboratory-based approach to model the fate of saflufenacil in the environment, the results of which are compared directly with those observed in a field
