General description

Native thyroglobulin, consisting of two polypeptide homodimers of 330 kDa each, purified from bovine thyroid. An excellent source of N-linked glycans of various structures, including sialylated core fucose and oligomannose oligosaccharides. Gal-3-SO4 and GalNAc-6-SO4 residues, located in a single multi-branched complex type glycan, have been reported in calf thymus and human proteins.
