Application

Pd(IPr#)(AN)Cl2 is a Pd-catalyst that can be used in a broad range of reactions, including cross-coupling, C-H functionalization, electrophilic additions. NHC-Pd-aniline complexes of this type have many advantages, including higher reactivity in cross-coupling reactions than similar complexes using cinnamyl and pyridine throw-away ligands and simple reaction tunability through substituion of aniline ligand.

IPr (IPr = 1,3-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene) represents the most important NHC (NHC = N-heterocyclic carbene) ligand throughout the field of homogeneous catalysis. Herein, we report the synthesis, catalytic activity, and full structural and electronic characterization of novel, sterically-bulky, easily-accessible NHC ligands based
