Application

It may be used in the synthesis of brucinium 2-carboxy-6-nitrophthalate dihydrate (systematic name: 2,3-dimethoxy-10-oxostrychnidinium 2-carboxy-6-nitrophthalate dihydrate), via heating with brucine.
