General description

Rotational absorption spectrum for the ground state of trichlorofluoromethane (Freon-11) has been measured on the part per thousand levels by volume by time-resolved THz spectroscopy. Reductive dehalogenation of trichlorofluoromethane catalyzed by Methanobacterium barkeri has been reported.

Adsorption on carbon fixed-beds is considered as an inexpensive and highly effective way for controlling chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) emissions.
