General description

(Dimethylaminomethyl) ferrocene (DMAMF) is a ferrocene with a dimethylaminomethyl substituent attached to one of the cyclopentadienyl ligands. It can be used as a precursor in the preparation of iron oxide-based films.

Application

(Dimethylaminomethyl)ferrocene can be used as:
  • A Precursor in the preparation of iron oxide and magnesium-doped iron oxide films by atomic layer deposition (ALD).
  • An amine ligand in the synthesis of pentacarbonyl{[(dimethylamino)methyl]ferrocene}tungsten complex.

The effects of dimethylaminomethylferrocene (DMAMF) on amylose and maltodextrins destruction by gluco-, alpha- and beta-amylases have been studied. The nature of DMAMF effects depends on the action mechanism of amylases and structure of their active sites. The effect observed is
