Anti-DJ-1 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total DJ-1 protein.
DJ-1 (protein deglycase)/PARK7 (parkinsonism associated deglycase) is an oncogene, made of 189 amino acids. It is present in several human tissues and is located on chromosome 1p36.
Immunogen
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human DJ-1.
Immunogen Range: 21-70
Application
Anti-DJ-1 antibody has been used in western blotting.
Biochem/physiol Actions
In lung cancer patients, DJ-1 (protein deglycase) acts as a biomarker for the initial prognosis. It also acts as a serum biomarker for identifying high-risk endometrial cancer.

Studies have confirmed that DJ-1 is associated with diseases associated with the nervous system, including Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, the role of DJ-1 in the pathogenesis of AD has not been clarified. To investigate the effect of DJ-1 on brain
Recessively inherited loss-of-function mutations in the PTEN-induced putative kinase 1(Pink1), DJ-1 (Park7) and Parkin (Park2) genes are linked to familial cases of early-onset Parkinson's disease (PD). As part of its strategy to provide more tools for the research community, The
