Cell Line Description

A clonal derivative of mass cultures of foetal feline lung after 14 passages in vitro. Susceptible to panleukopenia, feline herpes and feline picornaviruses.

Application

Virus studies: panleucopenia, feline herpes and feline picornaviruses

Culture Medium

Ham′s F12 + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS).

Subculture Routine

Split sub-confluent cultures (70-80%) 1:2 to 1:5 i.e. seeding at 2-5x10,000 cells/cm² using 0.25% trypsin and 0.03% EDTA; 5% CO₂; 37°C.
