Interferon-g (IFN-gamma) is a lymphoid factor which possesses potent anti-viral activity. It has also been shown to stimulate macrophages and NK cells. Human IFN-gamma is a 16.7 kDa protein containing 143 amino acid residues.
Product Source: Human, expressed in E.coli
Application
For most in vitro applications, IFN-gamma exerts its biological activity in the concentration range of 0.1 to 10 ng/mL. Responding cells are (partial list): Lymphocytes.
Linkage
Replaces: IF3
Physical form
Sterile filtered, lyophilized from 10 mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.4.
Storage and Stability
The lyophilized IFN-g, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. After a quick spin, reconstitute in 1x PBS, pH 8.0 to a concentration of 0.5-1.0 mg/mL. Note: Further dilutions should be made into RPMI + 10% FCS or 5% HSA and stored at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for future use. Reconstituted material should be stored in undiluted aliquots at -20°C for up to six months.
Analysis Note
Specific Activity: Human IFN-gamma is fully biologically active when compared to standards. The ED(50) as determined in a viral resistance assay is ≤ 0.05 ng/mL

Peroxynitrite is a reactive nitrogen species (RNS) that plays critical roles in signal transduction, stress response, and numerous human diseases. Advanced molecular tools that permit the selective, sensitive, and noninvasive detection of peroxynitrite are essential for understanding its pathophysiological functions.
Autoimmune dacryoadenitis and altered lacrimal gland (LG) secretion are features of Sjögren's syndrome (SS). Activity of cathepsin S (CTSS), a cysteine protease, is significantly and specifically increased in SS patient tears. The soluble chemokine, CX3CL1 (fractalkine), is cleaved from membrane-bound

Sublethally irradiated mice were injected with recombinant cytokines to stimulate haemopoietic reconstitution. Interleukin (IL)-11 and IL-6 were able to significantly accelerate the recovery of thymus, spleen and bone marrow cells when used in combination with IL-3, but not alone. Stem
Chlamydia trachomatis (Ctr) can persist over extended times within their host cell and thereby establish chronic infections. One of the major inducers of chlamydial persistence is interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) released by immune cells as a mechanism of immune defence. IFN-γ activates

Small diameter (<6 mm) vessel grafts still pose a challenge for scientists worldwide. Decellularised umbilical artery (dUA) remains promising as small diameter tissue engineered vascular graft (TEVG), yet their immunogenicity remains unknown. Herein, we evaluated the host immune responses, with
