Application

Copper bromide (CuBr) is used in Sandmeyer’s reaction to prepare aryl bromides from aryl diazonium salts. It is also used as a co-catalyst in Sonogashira coupling reaction. CuBr reacts with organolithium compounds to form organocopper complexes that are commonly used in organic synthesis for C-C bond formation.
