Manganese(III) 5,10,15,20-tetra(4-pyridyl)-21H,23H-porphine chloride tetrakis(methochloride) (MnTMPyP )is a mitochondrial superoxide dismutase (SOD) mimetic agent.

Application

MnTMPyP was used as a mitochondrial superoxide dismutase mimetic agent in a study to understand the ability of mitochondrial superoxide anion radicals to mediate glutamate-induced oxidative DNA damage.
