components
phenol red: yes NaHCO3: no HEPES: no sodium pyruvate: no Hanks’ salts (2% CO2): yes L-glutamine: yes
Modification of the original MEM formulation. Earle′s salts have been replaced with Hanks′ salts. Since the bicarbonate concentration is substantially lower, this medium has a substantially reduced buffering capacity. It contains 19 amino acids. The essential amino acids and the non-essential amino acids; L-ala; L-asn; L-asp; L-glu; L-gly; L-pro and L-ser. May be preferred for growth of adherent cells in the presence of reduced serum or as a base for development of a serum free medium.
Quantity
Formulated to contain 10.7 grams of powder per liter of medium.

The Chromogranin A (CgA)-derived anti-hypertensive peptide catestatin (CST) antagonizes catecholamine secretion, and is a negative myocardial inotrope acting via a nitric oxide-dependent mechanism. It is not known whether CST contributes to ischemia/reperfusion injury or is a component of a cardioprotective
Minocycline, an FDA-approved second-generation semisynthetic tetracycline, exerts antioxidant, anti-apoptotic and anti-inflammatory effects, independent of its antimicrobial properties. Interleukin (IL)-17A is an immune and inflammatory mediator, and its sustained induction is associated with various cardiovascular diseases. Here we investigated (i) whether
Hypoxanthine phosphoribosyl transferase 1 (HPRT1) is traditionally believed to be a housekeeping gene; however, recent reports suggest that it is upregulated in several cancers and is associated with clinical outcomes. HPRT1 is located on chromosome X and encodes the HPRT

Estrogen-responsive breast cancer cells exhibit both basal and estrogen-regulated transcriptional programs, which lead to the transcription of many different transcription units (i.e., genes), including those that produce coding and non-coding sense (e.g., mRNA, lncRNA) and antisense (i.e., asRNA) transcripts. Viral double-stranded (ds)RNA is a potent pathogen-associated molecular pattern (PAMP), capable of inducing a strong antiviral state within the cell, protecting the cell from virus infection. In mammals and fish, sensing extracellular dsRNA is mediated by cell-surface class A scavenger
