about recent application data generated by Sigma R&D to optimize hydrolysis for different drug classes using enzymes from different sources and the use of a chromatographicaly purified enzyme to reduce the effect of esterase activity resulting in conversion of 6-MAM to Morphine.

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

Beta-glucuronidase is anenzyme present in several animals, plants, and bacteria. It catalyzes thehydrolysis of Beta-glucuronide conjugates and plant glucuronides.Beta-glucuronidase is a member of the glycosyl hydrolases (GHs) family 2 and is ahomo-tetrameric glycoprotein. It facilitates the removal of glucuronic acidsfrom glucuronides and aids in the liver metabolism enzymes for the excretion ofendo- and xeno-biotics.
