Informations sur le gène

mouse ... Lamp2(16784)

Description générale

Lamp2 (lysosome-associated membrane protein gene)is located in the lysosomal lumen and lysosomal membrane. However upon chronic acidosis in the tumour microenvironment, it is found to be present in the plasma membrane.

Immunogène

a 17 amino acid peptide from near the center of human LAMP-2.

Application

Anti-LAMP-2 antibody has been used in immunofluorescence and western blot.
Applications in which this antibody has been used successfully, and the associated peer-reviewed papers, are given below.

Actions biochimiques/physiologiques

LAMP2 (lysosome-associated membrane protein gene) preserves lysosomal membranes from acid proteolysis. It serves as an acidity biomarker in spheroids and xenografts. It also has some role in maturation of autophagic vacuoles and cell-cell or cell-extracellular matrix adhesion. Reduction of LAMP2 (lysosome-associated membrane protein gene) can increase acidosis-mediated toxicity. Mutation in LAMP2 can cause cardiomyopathy in young patients.

Liaison

The action of this antibody can be blocked using blocking peptide SBP3627.

Forme physique

Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide
