Application
- Fluorescent Molybdenum Disulfide Quantum Dots: Sodium molybdate dihydrate is employed in the synthesis of molybdenum disulfide quantum dots. These quantum dots are used for sensitive detection of curcumin in food samples through the FRET mechanism, illustrating its potential in enhancing food safety and quality analysis (Wang et al., 2024).
- Anderson-Evans Type Polyoxometalates: Research involving sodium molybdate dihydrate focuses on the synthesis and characterization of Anderson-Evans type polyoxometalates, exploring their antibacterial properties. This study contributes significantly to pharmaceutical and biomedical research, offering new avenues for antibacterial material development (Avci Özbek, 2023).
- Enhanced Hydrophobicity and Antimicrobial Activity: Sodium molybdate dihydrate is used in the embellishment of 2-D MoS2 nanosheets on lotus thread devices. The resulting enhancement in hydrophobicity and antimicrobial activity demonstrates its utility in material science, specifically in developing advanced functional materials (Selvam et al., 2022).
