Monoclonal anti-oligodendrocyte marker O4 was produced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a mouse immunized with white matter of the corpus callosum from bovine brain. Oligodendrocytes are myelinating cells in the central nervous system (CNS) that form the myelin sheath of axons to support rapid nerve conduction.
Immunogen
white matter of corpus callosum from bovine brain.
Application
Monoclonal anti-oligodendrocyte marker O4 antibody produced in mouse has been used in immunocytochemistry and immunofluorescence.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Oligodendrocyte marker O4 functions as a development marker of oligodendrocytes. The monoclonal anti-oligodendrocyte marker O4 antibody has been used to describe a biologically distinct stage of the oligodendroglial lineage in-vitro.†
Physical form
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline containing carbohydrates.

Bacterial pore-forming toxin aerolysin-like proteins (ALPs) are widely distributed in animals and plants. However, functional studies on these ALPs remain in their infancy. βγ-CAT is the first example of a secreted pore-forming protein that functions to modulate the endolysosome pathway
Neural stem cells (NSCs) play an important role in neural tissue engineering because of their capacity of self-renewal and differentiation to multiple cell lineages. The in vitro conventional neurosphere culture protocol has some limitations such as limited nutrition and oxygen
Neural stem/progenitor cells (NSPCs) are an important source of cells for cell replacement therapy after nerve injury. How to induce NSPCs differentiation towards neurons and oligodendrocytes is a challenging issue in neuroscience research. In the present study, we polarized microglia
