Application

3-Indoleacetic acid has been used:
  • as standard to quantify hormones[1]
  • to modify MS (Murashige and Skoog) media for the initiation of callus[2]
  • as an external standard in the analyses of free endogenous growth regulators[3]

Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) is a natural phytohormone (plant auxin) used as a supplement in media such as Murashige and Skoog media and Gamborg′s B5 media. IAA is a plant signaling molecule involved in plant organogenesis and growth control.

Robust organismal development relies on temporal coordination of disparate physiological processes. In Caenorhabditis elegans, the heterochronic pathway controls a timely juvenile-to-adult (J/A) transition. This regulatory cascade of conserved proteins and small RNAs culminates in accumulation of the transcription factor LIN-29

Macroautophagy (hereafter autophagy) is a well-conserved cellular process through which cytoplasmic components are delivered to the vacuole/lysosome for degradation and recycling. Studies have revealed the molecular mechanism of transcriptional regulation of autophagy-related (ATG) genes upon nutrient deprivation. However, little is

Questions

  1. I want to use this IAA to induce human OsTIR1-Auxin-inducible-degron cell line to degrade protein of interest. If this product is appliable in this experiment.

    1 answer
    1. This product is tested for use in plant tissue culture. Suitability for other applications would have to be determined experimentally by the end user. This compound is soluble in ethanol at 50 mg/mL and may be diluted further with medium or buffer. Please see the links below to review publications that may be helpful:
