General description

Erythrosin extra bluish is soluble in ethanol and water. It is a brown powder, with a pH range of 2.5 to 4. It is used in color filters, light emitting diodes, cosmetics and hair dyes.[1] It has been used in many biological applications such as, detecting gene expression, treating age related macular degeneration, diabetes and obesity.[2]

Suitability

Certified for use in the Jackson stain for plant anatomy; counterstain for alum hematoxylin; Kreyberg′s method for keratin and mucus.
