peptide corresponding to the human CRTH2 (GRP44) protein, near the C-terminus (amino acids 329-348).
Application
Anti-CRTH2 (GRP44) antibody produced in rabbit is suitable for western blotting at a working dilution of 1:500-1:1,000 using CRTH2- transfected Jurkat cells.
Biochem/physiol Actions
CRTH2 (chemoattractant receptor-homologous molecule), is known as the putative G protein-coupled receptor (GP44), is expressed on T helper 2 (Th2) cells. It is also referred as DP2, DL1R and CD294. It′s a human protein and belongs to G protein-coupled leukocyte chemo attractant receptor family. It is not expressed on human amniocytes or myocytes. On activation of CRTH2, PGD(2) induces human osteoclast apoptosis and the apoptosis intrinsic pathway. CRTH2, CD4 and T cells all together may be involved in the pathogenesis of IgG4-related Lacrimal gland enlargement (LGE) causing Mikulicz′s disease (MD).
Physical form
Solution of 1 mg/mL in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.

Prostaglandin D(2) (PGD(2)) is a lipid mediator synthesized from arachidonic acid that directly activates two specific receptors, the D-type prostanoid (DP) receptor and chemoattractant receptor homologous molecule expressed on T-helper type 2 cells (CRTH2). PGD(2) can affect bone metabolism by

Lacrimal gland enlargement (LGE) is one of the characteristics of Mikulicz's disease (MD). Recently, marked serum immunoglobulin (Ig)G4 elevation and infiltration of IgG4-positive plasma cells in the enlarged exocrine glands have been reported in MD patients. Moreover, we have reported
15-deoxy-Δ 12,14- Prostaglandin J2 (15dPGJ2) inhibits Nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) in human myocytes and amniocytes and delays inflammation induced preterm labour in the mouse. 15dPGJ2 is a ligand for the Chemoattractant Receptor Homologous to the T helper 2 cell
