General description

Benzyldimethylhexadecylammonium chloride is a cationic surfactant.

Application

Benzyldimethylhexadecylammonium chloride has been used in a study to assess the removal of cationic surfactants from aqueous solutions using activated carbon cloth (ACC). It has also been used in a study to investigate the prototropic behavior of the dye, 7-hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin (7H4MC).

The adsorption of the cationic surfactant benzyldimethylhexadecylammonium (BDMHA(+)) chloride has been studied at the hydrophilic silica-water interface by Raman spectroscopy in total internal reflection geometry (TIR Raman). This Raman spectroscopic technique takes advantage of an evanescent electric field that is

Defining membrane proteomes is fundamental to our understanding of many physiological and pathophysiological processes. Their separation and identification is hence a key issue in basic and biomedical research. Due to their hydrophobic character, few high-resolution techniques for separation are available
