General description
Amylmetacresol is a phenolic antiseptic.[1] It is a local symptomatic pain relief throat lozenges effective in managing acute sore throat symptoms.[2]

Application
These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. These are suitable for use in several analytical applications including but not limited to pharma release testing, pharma method development for qualitative and quantitative analyses, food and beverage quality control testing, and other calibration requirements.
Amylmetacresol may be used a reference standard for the determination of amylmetacresol in bulk and pharmaceutical formulations by reverse phase-high performance liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC) method.[1]
