General description

Ammonium sulfamate is a contact herbicide, found to be toxic in nature.[1]

Application

Ammonium sulfamate may be used as a monomer in the synthesis of an adsorbent such as ammonium sulfamate-bacterial cellulose (ASBC), which is used in the adsorption of Cr(VI) in wastewater.[1] It may also be used as a starting material for the synthesis of ammonium dinitramide (ADN) via nitration and to study the effect of sulfamate counter-ion on ammonium dinitramide purity.[2]
