General description
Ideal for handling particularly valuable or dangerous materials. The plastic coating (PU) on the Duran GLS 80 Protect provides effective protection during routine laboratory work and retains the contents if the glass becomes damaged.

- The external polymer coating provides scratch, leak* and splinter* protection (* only applies to bottles 2000 ml and less)
- Manufactured from DURAN® borosilicate glass 3.3. DURAN® is a neutral glass, classified as a Glass Type I according to USP <660>, EP (3.2.1) and JP <7.01>, and meets ASTM E438, Type I, Class A requirements
- Easy access to the bottle contents due to the wide diameter of the bottle neck
- Special thread design for rapid opening and closing in less than a turn
- UV protection up to approx. 380 nm due to external coating
- Optimum filling and pouring and particularly easy cleaning
- Spoons, spatulas and tweezers can be manipulated with ease
- Even large-volume funnels can be inserted into the bottles without any difficulty
- Easy-to-read scale with graduation marks to estimate the content
- Fired-on, highly durable white ceramic
- Scratch, leak and shatter-resistant
- High transparency
- Temperature range -30°C to 140°C
- Autoclavable
- Suitable for use in microwaves
- Supplied with blue quick-release cap and pouring ring that is autoclavable up to 140°C
