Application

Ethylene is a colourless, flammable, and liquefied gas that has a slightly sweet odour and is lighter than air. It is an active component in ripening gas for fruits and plants. Ethylene is also a precursor for plastics, such as polyethylene, polyurethanes, polystyrene, and polyvinylchloride.
