Application

Potassium formate has been used as a biochemical component for the synthesis of liquid phantom to study the Raman reconstruction by Wiener estimation.
It can be used:
  • For the hydroxycarbonylation of aryl halides in the presence of 1–5 mol % of CO.
  • As an additive for thermal activation of sodium peroxydisulfate.
  • As a reducing agent to suppress the undesired boronic acid homocoupling reaction in Suzuki cross-coupling reaction.
