Pyridostatin trifluoroacetate salt has been used as a G-quadruplex (G4) stabilizer to study interactions between RNA G4 and ligand molecules.[1][2]
Actions biochimiques/physiologiques
Pyridostatin is a highly selective G-quadruplex interacting molecule. It retards the growth of human cancer cells by inducing replication/transcription dependent on DNA damage.[3]
Pyridostatin stabilizes G-quadruplexes, targeting the proto-oncogene SRC and telomeric G-quadruplexes, inducing DNA damage and cell-cycle arrest.
