Description générale

Epitestosterone is a stereoisomer of the hormone testosterone. Epitestosterone is often used to illicitly mask high testosterone levels in athletic drug tests. This Certified Snap-N-Spike® Solution is applicable for use in LC/MS or GC/MS applications for sports testing, urine drug testing or forensic analysis.

Application


  • Anti-doping analysis: Epitestosterone serves as a critical analytical reference in anti-doping, particularly for correcting urinary testosterone to epitestosterone ratios in athletes, ensuring accurate and fair sports testing practices (Martínez Brito et al., 2023).

  • Steroid hormone profiling: In biochemistry, epitestosterone is utilized in profiling steroid hormones, aiding in the study of hormone balance and endocrine disorders (Xu et al., 2023).
