Gene Information

human ... CCND1(595)

General description

Anti-CYCLIN D1 antibody detects endogenous levels of total CYCLIN D1 protein.
The CCND1 (cyclin D1) gene is mapped to human chromosome 11q13.3.

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Cyclin D1.

Immunogen Range: 246-295

Application

Anti-CYCLIN D1, C-Terminal antibody produced in rabbit has been used in western blotting analysis.

Biochem/physiol Actions

CCND1 (cyclin D1) regulates cell cycle by mediating the G1 to S phase transition. The gene gets activated by β-catenin and participates in the process of tumor formation. Upregulation of the gene is observed in cancer such as lung, breast, colon, hematopoietic and prostate carcinomas, and promotes contact independent cell growth. Variation in CCND1 contributes to increased occurrence of colorectal cancer.

Previously we reported that Src-associated-substrate-during-mitosis-of-68kDa (Sam68/KHDRBS1) is pivotal for DNA damage-stimulated NF-κB transactivation of anti-apoptotic genes (Fu et al., 2016). Here we show that Sam68 is critical for genotoxic stress-induced NF-κB activation in the γ-irradiated colon and animal and that
