General description

E. coli Fluorogenic ID Membrane are substrate-carrying membranes used for rapid identification and differentiation of E. coli through characteristic fluorogenic reactions while placed on the agar surface post-incubation. The membranes contain fluorogenic substrate MUG. The principle is based on the ability of E. coli to cleave MUG substrate, giving a fluorogenic emission that can be detected at 365 nm.

Application

E. coli Fluorogenic ID Membrane is used for rapid detection & confirmation of Escherichia coli in water and food samples, based on a fluorogenic method. They find their application in various sectors such as the food and dairy industry, water industry, pharmaceutical laboratory testing, cosmetic industry, environmental and sanitary testing, clinical diagnostic, etc.
