General description

Protein G purified mouse monoclonal antibody. Recognizes the ~90 kDa Hsp90 protein.
Recognizes the ~90 kDa Hsp90 protein.
This Anti-Hsp90 Mouse mAb (AC88) is validated for use in Immunoblotting, Immunoprecipitation, Immunocytochemistry for the detection of Hsp90.

Immunogen

Achyla ambisexualis
Hsp90 isolated from water mold, Achyla ambisexualis

Application

Immunoprecipitation (see comments)

Immunocytochemistry (see comments)

Packaging

Please refer to vial label for lot-specific concentration.

Warning

Toxicity: Standard Handling (A)

Physical form

In 10 mM PBS, 50% glycerol, pH 7.2.

Reconstitution

Following initial thaw, aliquot and freeze (-20°C).

Analysis Note

Positive Control
Heat shocked HeLa cells, Heat shocked 3T3 cells, Heat shocked PC-12 cells, Heat shocked CHO-K1, Heat shocked Rat-2 cells

Other Notes

Cross-reacts with glucocorticoid receptor in rodent. By immunoprecipitation, the antibody favors free Hsp90 over complexed Hsp90. The optimal dilution for immunoprecipitation is assay dependent and must be determined for each sample. This antibody has also been reported to work for immunocytochemistry. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the optimal dilution.

Mammalian 90 kDa heat shock protein (Hsp90) is a ubiquitous molecular chaperone whose expression is selectively upregulated during stress, although the precise control mechanism of this increase is yet to be fully elucidated. We used polysome profiling to show that Hsp90α
