General description

Triazolam is a benzodiazepine drug used as a sedative to treat severe insomnia. The drug is sold under trade names such as Halcion®, Hypam, and Trilam. This stable-labeled analog is suitable for use as an internal standard in triazolam testing or isotope dilution methods by GC/MS or LC/MS for clinical toxicology, urine drug testing, or forensic analysis.

Application

  • Quantitative Bioanalysis in Urine: Triazolam-d₄ is utilized as an internal standard in liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry for the simultaneous quantification of triazolam and its metabolites in human urine, providing crucial insights for clinical toxicology and forensic investigations (Pan et al., 2011).

  • Pharmacokinetic Studies in Plasma: Employed in liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry for the simultaneous determination of triazolam and its metabolites in human plasma, Triazolam-d₄ enhances the precision of pharmacokinetic profiles in medical research, aiding in the optimization of therapeutic dosing (Pan et al., 2008).
