General description

Anti-CHOP Antibody detects endogenous levels of total CHOP protein.
CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein homologous protein (CHOP) is a transcriptional regulator, that is located on human chromosome 12q13. It is also known as DNA damage inducible transcript 3 (DDIT3).

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human CHOP.

Immunogen Range: 15-64

Application

Anti-CHOP, N-Terminal antibody has been used in protein extraction and western blotting.

Biochem/physiol Actions

CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein homologous protein (CHOP) controls endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress-mediated apoptosis. It also modulates the transcription of cellular lipid metabolism. CHOP controls chronic kidney disease–induced vascular calcification.
