General description

This silver nanopowder consists of metallic silver nanoparticles with a diameter less than 100 nm. These nanosilver particles are coated with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) at a concentration of 0.2% by mass. This coating effectively limits surface oxidation and enhances the dispersion of the powder in various solvents.

Silver nanopowder is extensively utilized in medicinal applications and medical devices. The increased surface area to volume ratio and heightened reactivity of nanosilver make it particularly valuable in modern biomedical applications, particularly in coatings of medical devices.

Application

Water based ink was formulated with the silver nanowires. Silver nanoparticles, leading to higher amounts of elutable substances has been studied. The immunological adjuvant effect of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) was investigated both in vitro and in vivo Silver nanoparticles based graphite epoxy nanocomposites have been fabricated. Action of AgNPs in enhanced thrombus formation as a consequence of increased platelet aggregation and procoagulant activity has been investigated. Optical fiber sensor photodeposited with AgNPs have been fabricated. PAN fiber based nanocomposites containing Ag and Hydroxyapatite as nanoadditives have been reported.
