Application

Strontium nitrate may be used as one of the starting materials for the preparation of calcium substituted strontium hexaferrite nanoparticles and strontium ferrite (SrFe12O19) particles by the chemical co-precipitation method. The product may also be used for the synthesis of α- and β-(Sr0.97Eu0.03)2SiO4 phosphors for near UV light emitting diodes.
