FOXO1 (forkhead box O1) is a transcription factor , that belongs to the Foxo subfamily. It is located on human chromosome 13q14.

Biochem/physiol Actions

FOXO1 (forkhead box O1) blocks the differentiation of cells in fetal pancreatic progenitor cells. It controls the differentiation of adipocytes.
