General description
Streptavidin is a biotin-binding protein. Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is a heme-containing enzyme. HRP-Streptavidin consists of the protein streptavidin, as a secondary detection reagent, conjugated to the enzyme HRP. The conjugate is used in ELISA to increase the detection of various kinds of targets.
Application
HRP-Streptavidin has been conjugated to secondary antibodies for western blotting.
