General description

Ammonium persulfate is a non-hazardous, non-explosive and economical oxidizing agent. It is commonly employed polymerizing agent for the acrylamide gels. Ammonium persulfate supported on silica gel is useful reagent for the regeneration of carbonyl compounds from their corresponding oxime derivatives under microwave and solventless “dry” conditions.

Application

Redi-Dri is an innovative packaging product line that helps eliminate clumping material by adding extra packaging process steps without any chemical additives, anti-clumping agents, or hydrophobic compounds. Redi-Dri offers a more convenient and safer way to handle the products.
Ammonium persulfate (APS) has been used in the gel purification step during the synthesis of Sel2 N20 RNA library.
It may be used in the following studies:
  • Synthesis of doped polypyrrole (PPy), via in situ doped, oxidative coupling polymerization.
  • As an oxidizing agent for the determination of urinary iodine.
  • Gel electrophoresis studies.
Catalyst for acrylamide gel polymerization.
