General description

Sodium phosphate dibasic is a component in many biological buffers used in biochemical, biomedical, and molecular biological research. It is also known as disodium hydrogen phosphate (Na2HPO4), it is an inorganic salt that is highly soluble in water. It serves as a versatile buffering agent in research with a pH of 8.9 - 9.2. It is essential for making several phosphate buffers including PBS, utilized for cell culture, immunohistochemistry, Western blot, ELISA, and other applications where a stable pH is critical.

Application

Sodium phosphate dibasic may be used for phosphate buffer and Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) that is commonly utilized for cell culture, immunohistochemistry, western blot, and other biochemical applications where a stable pH is crucial. Including protein purification and enzymatic assays.

Features and Benefits

  • Qualified for use in cell culture; suitable for insect cell culture
  • Redi-Dri packaging controls moisture for hygroscopic chemicals that commonly clump
  • Anhydrous powder remains free-flowing and easy to use
  • Safer to handle and weigh out for routine use in lab
  • Eliminates clumps, maintaining product moisture, quality, and attributes
