Application

Recombinant Molecular Weight Marker has been used for determining the size of protein bands in western blot and sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE).

Other Notes

The recombinant molecular weight standard for SDS-PAGE contains seven precisely sized proteins, M.W. 15, 25, 35, 50, 75, 100 and 150 kDa. Recombinant proteins produce sharp bands for precise size determination since they are not glycosylated.

Physical form

Solution containing approx. 0.8 mg/ml total protein in 125 mM Tris-HCl, pH 6.8, 2% SDS, 10% glycerol, 200 mM 2-mercaptoethanol, 0.007% bromphenol blue.
