Application
The Standard Reference Material (SRM) is primarily intended for calibration of mass spectrometry-based methods and devices used to determine Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1) in human serum. It can be utilized for the value assignment of control materials.
Features and Benefits
- The NIST-certified values for IGF-1 concentrations were determined by amino acid analysis using isotope dilution liquid chromatography and tandem mass spectrometry (ID-LC/MS/MS). The values are Metrologically traceable to SI units of molar concentration (expressed as nanomoles per gram)
- Non-certified values for density, monoisotopic relative molecular mass, and concentration of the IGF-1 are provided and expressed in terms of grams per liter.
- The period of validity, maintenance of certified and non-certified values, and instructions for safety, storage, and use are provided on the NIST certificate.
Other Notes
- SRM 2926 is intended for research use only.
- Expiration details and storage and use instructions are provided on the NIST certificate
- Notes on biomaterial handling, disposal, and transport documented in MSDS
