Intepirdine (SB-742457) is a brain blood barrier penetrant, orally available, potent and selective serotonin receptor 6 (5-HT6) receptor antagonist that potentiate cognitive and the behavioral abnormalities of AD in laboratory set up. Intepirdine has failed to demonstrate statistically significant impact on cognition or dementia in phase III trials. Intepirdine promotes satiety.
