General description

Chlorthiophos is an organophosphate insecticide widely used in agriculture. It acts by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase enzyme, involved in hydrolysis of acetylcholine in nervous system of different species including humans.

Application

Chlorthiophos may be used as a reference standard for the determination of the test analyte in herbal plant, berry fruits, Chinese teas, and honey by various chromatography techniques.
